While driving on Ga Highway 326, he ran off the road and had an accident that left him fighting for his life. He has spent every moment since that day fighting to recover and to help others who suffer a similar misfortune. In 2017 he established the Eric Redmon Foundation to help many charities and individuals over the years. His two passions are the Ronald McDonald House and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Jackson County.
The Eric Redmon Foundation sponsors three major events each year. In February, we sell chocolate covered strawberries and in October, we sell caramel apples. However, the biggest event is the Annual Play Fore Eric Golf Tournament held each summer. The first golf tournament was held in 2003 to help the Redmon family meet the medical costs after the accident. In 2013, Eric brought the tournament back to raise funds for his new foundation. The goal the first few year was to raise enough money to sponsor a new room at The Ronald McDonald House. Once that goal was met, the goal is to continue to support that room and now add another room at a new location. In addition, the Foundation sponsors a Back to School Bash each summer for the kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Jackson County. Finally, the Foundation tries to support the families of victims of Traumatic Brain Injuries and those living at the Ronald McDonald House.

After spending months at Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta recovering from his accident, Eric finally came home. One of the first things he tried to talk about was going to Heaven and feeling a sense of peace there. He also said he wanted to write a book about his experience. In 2018, Life's A Party was published. It tells the story of his accident through his eyes, but also through the eyes of family and friends. It is the story of recovery, friendship and love. The book is available at amazon.com but you can also contact the Foundation for a copy, especially if you would like to have one signed by Eric.
Eric is also available for book signings and would love to hear from you!
